The Langdon Papers is an ongoing documentary history of one of Long Island’s founding families. Drawing upon land deeds, church records, cemetery inscriptions, newspapers, government documents, family archives and other primary sources, this collection follows the Langdons and the many families whose lives intersected with theirs over nearly four centuries. Each story is grounded in historical evidence, bringing the people behind the records to life through narrative history.
